Our Farm
There are many varieties of coconuts grown globally. However, when it comes to the sweetest and most fragrant of coconuts, the Thai “Nam Hom” (“fragrant water”) coconut has to be top of mind.
Produced exclusively in Thailand, only four provinces out of Thailand’s 77 have suitable conditions for growing Nam Hom coconut: Samut Sakhon, Samut Songkram, Ratchaburi, and Nakhon Pathom. These four locations have access to two rivers in Thailand--Mae Klong and Tha Chin--in addition to being huddled together near the Gulf of Thailand. The proximity to the coast lends the land minerals ideal for growing Nam Hom coconuts. It is said that the past coastal flooding of the area has been attributed to the well-rounded sweetness of the Thai Nam Hom coconuts produced here. With the four provinces also receiving plenty of sunlight year-round as well, the quality and agricultural abundance of these coconuts in Thailand has earned them Geographical Indication (GI) from the Thai government.
Our Factory
At K Fresh, we’re not just focused on the raw materials but the processes of production as well. Our safety standards, including hygiene, food safety and the safety of our workers, apply to each stage of our closed system production, practised in accordance with GHP, HACCP, Global GAP, USDA Organic and many other world standards. Once the production of coconuts is completed, they are stored under proper temperature to ensure their freshness and are strictly inspected and quality-controlled.
All these standards were made possible to achieve with our specialized coconut factory that was specially designed to process young Nam Hom coconuts with delicate care. We also utilize modern traceability technology to track and verify that each batch of coconuts moves safely from the farming zones to the consumer.
